This blog is a fat/ body acceptance blog. Society needs to realize that people are beautiful and healthy AT ANY SIZE. I use the word FATspiration as a reclaiming of the word fat because people of all sizes have had that word used against them as an insult. This is a positive space only. I don't respond to hate, so don't bother. Submit your fatspirations. This includes: pictures, quotes, phrases, etc.

Anonymous asked: What if i shame my own body and validate others? i feel so genuinely ugly right now, i’ve never been so fat, i think i’m close to 287 pounds and i’m only 5’5… i feel disgusting and when i see the girls in this blog they’re all so pretty and confident. I truly feel like a piece of shit.
Answer: You’re only recreating that cycle of hate if you shame your body and validate others. You’re doing yourself a disservice. Feeling bad is nothing to be ashamed of. I know it’s harder for some people to accept their bodies, but sabotaging your sense of self-worth is not going to help you. At all.
Anonymous asked: Today, I went my college student health and even though my blood pressure, blood sugar, and everything else were totally normal and healthy, I had to sit through a fat-shaming lecture. I was just there to get a prescription refilled! I left in tears and I’ve felt terrible all day. Tonight I found your blog and I can’t believe how much better I feel. Thank you for reminding me to love my body.
Answer: You’re welcome. It always pisses me off when I experience or hear of others’s experiences with body shaming “medical professionals”. It’s the opposite of professional. Anyways, I’m glad you enjoy this blog :)
Anonymous asked: Okay I know you deal with mainly “bigger” people, but I really have a problem and I thought you would be the best to go to for help, all things considering. Okay. So, I think that I may be close to developing an eating-disorder and I’m really, really scared. Not only do I eat smaller and smaller portions, or no food at all, I just really don’t WANT to eat. It’s been like this for maybe a two or three weeks but it’s becoming a problem because I think it’s making me sick. I need help, please.
Answer: I think you need to first figure out how your relationship food got to that point. Is it because you’re uncomfortable with your weight? Is it pressure to maintain a certain body type? Once you realize the root of your problem, you can focus on fixing it. If that doesn’t help, please seek medical intervention. I hope my followers can help me answer this better.
Anonymous asked: Dear lady running this Blog: You are the business. I fucking love you. You already know how awesome you are. Just thought I’d second the notion. Thanks for everything.
Answer: Thanks for the kind words!
Anonymous asked: Do you think that it’s unhealthy want to change your body for someone else? I’m not saying change it because someone else wants you to; I mean to say, to want to change for someone else. They haven’t asked, but I know they prefer slimmer bodies. Is it wrong to want to be what they like? It seems to me that it shouldn’t be, but I fear that I’m behaving unhealthily. Which is totally a word.
Answer: I want to say “Don’t change for anyone”. But it’s your life. Your reasons for changing your body is your business only. You seem to have it under control. There is nothing wrong with consciously choosing to change your body to attract a mate. It doesn’t seem unhealthy to me because you’re not being controlled, manipulated, coerced or forced into it. I just hope you’re not harming your body to achieve that standard.
Anonymous asked: I genuinely need your advice. I love food. I love junk food, fast food and everything that’s yummy. I love my body, too. But the last few years, I haven’t been feeling well because I always feel heavy and I get tired so easily because of the weight I put on. It’s so hard catching up with my friends or walking with them because I feel physically exhausted easily. That’s mainly the reason why I want to lose weight, but my love for (so-called fattening) food still stands. What should I do?
Answer: There are a lot of alternatives to “junk food”. Adapt your “junk food” into lower-calorie options. For example: Eat kale chips instead of potato chips. In today’s capitalist market, you can have your cake and eat it too.
Anonymous asked: why is jessicka fatspiration?
